Merlin Drowley Sr

Merlin David Drowley Sr. age 68 of Alma, Michigan formerly of Wheeler, Michigan died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Gratiot Medical Center Alma, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Parkside Assembly of God St. Louis, Michigan on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Richard McLane will officiate with burial at Chapel Garden Cemetery Elwell, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2007 from 6-8 P.M.

Merlin was born in Breckenridge, Michigan on February 26, 1938 the son of R. V. and Lena ( Vought ) Drowley. He resided most of his life in Wheeler, Michigan and attended Wheeler Grade School. Merlin married Evelyn Aspinall in Hersey, Michigan on June 9, 1962. He was employed by Oldsmobile and Breckenridge Post Office for several years. He was a volunteer grandparent for Alma Pine Avenue Elementary School and Kids Kingdom Daycare in Alma. He loved to fix televisions, draw and paint. Merlin was a attended Parkside Assembly of God in St. Louis, MI.

He is survived by his wife Evelyn Drowley of Alma, MI, 7 children; Merlin & Danna Drowley of Alma, MI, Terry & Linda Drowley of Vestaburg, MI, Ken & Marla Drowley of Alma, MI, Brian & Wendy Drowley of St. Louis, MI, Bruce & Heidi Drowley of Ithaca, MI, Laurie & Gregg Arnett of Shepherd, MI, Lea & Daven Leonard of Shepherd, MI, 1 sister Betty Wood of Alma, MI, 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, brother Bill Drowley and sister Dorothy Drowley.

Memorials may be made to Parkside Assembly of God, St. Louis, MI. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
