Michael Benjamin Leslie age 52 of Corunna, Michigan, died Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at his home. Funeral services will be held at the First Church of Christ in Owosso, Michigan on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. Pastor Mark St. Louis will officiate and burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 PM and Friday from 2-8 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna, Michigan. Mike was born on March 30, 1953 in Owosso, Michigan the son of Ray and Dorothy (Hicks) Leslie. He resided most of his life in the Owosso & Corunna area. Mike graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School with the class of 1971 and earned his Bachelors Degree from Western Michigan University. On November 25, 1989 he married Debbie Pumford at the First Church of Christ in Owosso, Michigan. He was a member of the Saving Grace Church of Corunna, Michigan, and past president and realtor of the year for the Shiawassee Regional Board of Realtors; Greater Lansing Board of Realtors; Owosso-Corunna Chamber of Commerce; National & Michigan Association of Realtors; also served on numerous committees and boards. Mike was a former teacher at Niles High School in Niles, Michigan teaching industrial arts and math. He was a real estate broker and owner of LeValley Real Estate in Owosso since 1986. He loved hunting and coaching Little League Baseball. He had also coached his childrena�(TM)s wrestling teams, and enjoyed attending any sporting event of his childrena�(TM)s. Michael was a foster parent, and loved his family, his church, and the community.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Leslie of Corunna, son, Nathan Michael Leslie of High Point, N.C., daughter Lynette Leslie of Shepherd, MI, son, Ryan Leslie of Grand Rapids, MI, son, Brent Witgen and wife Eirica Peterson, of Denmark, son, Brad Warfle of Owosso, MI, daughter, Katie Warfle of Owosso, MI. daughter, Desiree Leslie, of Corunna, MI, daughter, Jasmine Leslie of Corunna, MI, Son, Manny Leslie of Corunna, MI, daughter, Annie Leslie of Corunna, MI, his parents Ray & Dorothy Leslie, of Corunna, MI, sister, Linda Lockwood of Owosso, MI, brother, Robin & Bernie Leslie of Owosso, MI, brother, Rodney Leslie of Corunna, MI, brother, Russell Leslie of Corunna, MI, sister, Pam & David Krusyna of Corunna, MI, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife Jane (Latz) Leslie on December 26, 1986; and a son Jim Warfle on September 30, 2001.
