Michael Luznak

Michael "Mike" Thomas Luznak age 78 of Bannister, Michigan died Sunday, August 19, 2007 at Carson City Hospital, Carson City, Michigan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church Bannister, MI on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt and Mr. Thomas Bradley will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 & Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Rosary will be prayed on Wednesday Evening at 6:00 P.M.

Mike was born in Elba Township, Michigan on August 26, 1928 the son of Marko and Josephine ( Slamar ) Loznjak. He was a lifeling resident of Bannister, Michigan. Michael married Anne Heimberger on December 22, 1967 at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, MI. He retired from Motor Wheel in 1992 after 43 years of service. Mike enjoyed family and his grandchildren, with farming coming in a close second. He also loved attending Ovid-Elsie, Ashley and St. Johns high school sporting events. Michael was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife Anne Luznak of Bannister, MI, 10 children; Nancy & Tom Hildner, Connie & Ed Thornton, Carole & John Whitaker, Mike Luznak, Dennis Luznak, Tracy & Tod Ballinger, Tod Heimberger, Tony & Norm ( Binder ) Heimberger, Tamra & Dan Sherwood Troy & Stacy Luznak, 19 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 sister Rose Supp, and 3 brothers-in-law; Steve Chvojka, Joe Vostrizansky, and Tony Havalda. He is predeceased by his parents, and sisters; Frances Fabus, Stella Spika, Anna Fabus, Stuna Niko, Genevieve Chvojka, Stefina Vostrizansky, Josephine Slamka, and Helen Havalda.

Memorials may be made to Gratiot Commission on Aging or the Ashley Care Center.. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
