Michael Allen Boyd Whitaker, age 24, of Ashley, MI died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM, Pastor Nathaniel Tucker will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 4-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery Gratiot County, Michigan.

Michael was born in Owosso, Michigan on July 11, 1984, the son of Michael Boyd Whitaker and JoAnn Marie (Moore) Parcher. He was graduated from Ashley Community Schools with the class of 2003. Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, car racing, snowmobiling & 4 wheeling.

He is survived by his mother JoAnn and Greg Parcher of Ashley, MI, father Mike Whitaker & (Tracy Meseraull) of Elsie, MI, grandparents Virginia and Richard Moore of Ashley, MI, grandmother Nancy Parcher of St. Charles, MI, 2 sisters; Margaret Whitaker & (Danny Combs) of Ashley, MI, Melissa Parcher & (Brent Albring) of Owosso, MI, 3 brothers Gregory Parcher of Ashley, MI, Jeremy Whitaker of Brant, MI, Andrew Whitaker of Elsie, MI, nephews and nieces, Bradley Combs, Jenna Parcher, Zachary Combs, Antone Parcher, Kesha Albring and Daniel Comb, and many aunts & uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lawrence Parcher, great-grandparents, Chancey & Gladys Moore and J.B. & Margaret Holmes, also Granny Carter and his aunt, Gail Parcher.
