Mildred Hoyt age 80 of St. Louis, Michigan died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at Gratiot Community Hospital, Alma, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Pastor Lee Rhodes will officiate with burial at Chapel Gardens Cemetery, Elwell, MI.
Mildred Hoyt was born in Marion, Ohio on December 3, 1923 the daughter of Milton & Martha ( Trecke ) Hopkins. Mildred married Gordon Hoyt on February 10, 1945. They were married for 49 years. He died on January 12, 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Louis American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She resided most of her life in St. Louis, Michigan.
She is survived by her 5 children Larry & Deb Hoyt of St. Louis, MI, Irene & Marvin Rooks of St. Louis, MI, Jack & Opal Hoyt of St. Louis, MI, Sue & Lynn Moulton of Wheeler, MI, Bev & Larry Linton of Clare, MI, 10 grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 brothers Henry & Wanita Hopkins of Breckenridge, MI, and Willis & Margaret Hopkins of Georgia. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, 2 sisters & 5 brothers.
