Mildred Richter-Collison

Mildred V. “Mickie” Richter - Collison, age 81, of St. Louis, MI passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Warwick Living Center, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., with Mr. Keith Wise officiating.  Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.

Mildred was born in Winn, Michigan on February 14, 1935, the daughter of Cleo and Edith (Wonsey) Ley. She graduated from Remus High School with the class of 1953. Mickie married Jack Richter on January 9, 1954; he passed away on April 28, 1994. On September 9, 2000 Mickie married Warren Collison; he passed away on December 17, 2006.

Mickie worked many places throughout her life including; the Park Hotel, Alma College and the Main Cafe. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader. She loved watching Tiger's Baseball. Mickie was a member of the St. Louis Church of Christ and a Red Cross volunteer at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma, MI.

She is survived by her daughter Debra and Earl Dickman of Shepherd, MI, sons; Scott K. Richter of Holland, MI, Edward and Nan Richter of Mecosta, MI, Thomas and Theresa Richter of Ithaca, MI, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 4 step children; Jerry and Lynda Collison of Lake Odessa, MI, Dennis and Pat Collison of Imlay City, MI, Roger and Dee Collison of St. Louis, MI, Carol and Ron Salladay of St. Louis, MI, their extended families, and her sisters; Rose Price of St. Louis, MI and Shirley West of Ohio.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Jack and Warren, granddaughter Amanda Marie Richter, daughter in law Janet Richter, brother John Ley and sister Hazel Freeman.
