Mildred Rebecca Tkaczyk age 76 of Owosso, Michigan died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at her home.
A Memorial Services will be held at West Flint Church of the Nazerene, 2254 S. Dye Road, Flint, MI on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Rev. David Bowser will officiate
Mildred was born in Pavo, Georgia on April 9, 1931 the daughter of Patrick M. and Thelma Lee ( Rigby ) Griffin. She resided in the Owosso area for over 50 years and attended Morrice High School. Mildred married Leonard Tkaczyk on February 3, 1951 in Angola, Indiana. She worked at Universal Electric for a number of years. She enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, and being in her flower garden. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Leonard Tkaczyk of Owosso, MI, 7 children; Linda Kinsey of Warsaw, IN, Gary & Rosie Traczyk of Corunna, MI, Grady & Maryln Traczyk of Corunna, MI, Rebecca & John Good of Owosso, MI, Annette Bleisner & Robert Nichols of Ovid, MI, Patrick Traczyk & Denise Taylor of Owosso, MI, & Ted Peck of Battle Creek, MI, 15 grandchildren; Chuck & Laura Dumond, Melissa & Tedd Dodge, Danielle & Aaron Peterson, Jazmine Kinsey, Garrett Tkaczyk, Christopher Tkaczyk, Jeremy Tkaczyk, CECA Andrew L Tkaczyk - U.S. Navy Seabee's, Heather Good, Heidi Good, Jacob Bleisner, Mindy Bleisner, Alyse Bleisner, Kylah Nichols and Sarah Peck, 11 great grandchildren; Brandi Dumond, Daniel Dunn, Weston Dodge, Mitchel Dodge, Shalaine Dodge, Victoria Self, Tyler Peterson , Kaylee Peterson, Xavier Ybarra, Zachary Ybarra, and Dylan Davalt, 1 brother Henry & Bonnie Griffin of Manitow Lake, MI, 1 sister Margaret & Wayne Schwartz of Morrice, MI and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, 1 grandson Billy Raymond Dumond & 1 brother.
Memorials may be made to Owosso Memorial Healthcare Hospice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
