Mildred V. Zimmerman age 89 of Breckenridge, MI died Friday, August 12, 2005 at Hearts Content Adult Foster Care Breckenridge, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Amazing Grace Church Wheeler, Michigan on Monday, August 15, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Richard Jolliff will officiate with burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery Breckenridge, Michigan. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 14, 2005 2-4 & 6-8 at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.

Mildred was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on April 27, 1916 the daughter of George and Mae ( Hearn ) Harrison. She graduated from Ithaca High School with the class of 1933. She earned her Bachelors Degree in education from Central Michigan University in 1967. She resided most of her life in Breckenridge, Michigan. Mildred married Carlton Myrl Zimmerman on June 10, 1934 in Ithaca, Michigan. He died in 1975. She was a school teacher for Breckenridge Public Schools, retiring in 1978. She had previously taught in Country Schools in Gratiot County and Harper Country School in St. Johns. She loved to crochet & do crossword puzzles, and most of all she loved her family and her church. She was a member of Amazing Grace Church, Wheeler, MI and Womens AGLO.

She is survived by her 7 children; Bonnie & Dick Downing of Beaverton, MI, Patty & Dick Gibson of Bear Lake, MI, Jerry & Janice Zimmerman of Holt, MI, Karen Zimmerman of St. Johns, MI, Linda & Mike Werbish of Perrinton, MI, Margaret & Doug Elchuk of Standish, MI, Mark & Cherri Zimmerman of Breckenridge, MI, 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Donna Marr of Ithaca, MI, and Marjorie & Loel Bebow of St. Louis, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 3 sisters; Margaret Harrison, Joyce Fowler, and Lelah Brushkotter, and 1 brother Royal Harrison.

Memorials may be made to Howe Memorial Library or Amazing Grace Chruch, Wheeler, Michigan. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
