Mona Tree

Mona J. Tree age 48 of Crystal, Michigan formerly of Alma, MI died Saturday, March 19, 2005 in Montcalm County as a result of an automobile accident.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday March 22, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 21, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Mona was born in Alma, Michigan on November 2, 1956 the daughter of Glenn & Joyce ( McLouth ) Pelton. She resided most of her life in Alma, Michigan. She graduated from. Alma High School with the class of 1974. She then earned her Associates Degree from Montcalm Community College in Childhood Development. Mona married Don Tree on November 3, 1973 in Riverdale, Michigan. She was currently a cashier @ Gardnera�(TM)s Quick Stop in Crystal. She was a stay at home mom volunteering at Head Start. She eventually became an assistant teacher for Gratiot County Head Start. Mona was an avid reader, and loved decorating and collecting angels. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved music.
Mona is survived by 3 daughters; Cheyenna Sanchez of Stanwood, MI, Quana Tree of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Maya Tree of Mt. Pleasant, MI, 4 grandchildren Dylan Tree, Ariel Sanchez, Taylor Hoffman & Frank Sanchez, her mother Joyce Weston of Alma, MI, 5 brothers Glenn & Deb Pelton Jr. of Mio, MI, Russell Perry of Florida, Ronald Pelton of California, William Pelton of Ithaca, MI, Robert Pelton of Florida, the father of her daughters Don Tree of Mt. Pleasant, MI, and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her stepfather Ralph Miller Jr. and her grandparents.
Memorials may be made to the family. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
