Myrtle Arlene McComber age 97, of Ithaca, MI, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017, at The Laurels of Carson City, Carson City, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Mark Edwards officiating.  Burial will take place at Union Home Cemetery Greenbush Township, MI.  Visitation will be Friday, November 10, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.

Myrtle was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI on March 23, 1920, the daughter of George and Etta (Post) Suzor.  She married Glenn McComber on November 9, 1938.  Glenn passed away on June 24, 2000.

Myrtle loved her family and found great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She was a great-great-grandma.  She was a past member of Salem United Methodist Church in Clinton County where she was a Sunday School teacher.  Myrtle was active in a ladies craft club and was skilled in sewing and crocheting.  She made most of her own clothes.  She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, word find books, and reading.  Myrtle always kept very busy.  She was always very hospitable to her guests and offered them coffee and whatever she had during their visit.  She loved to can, cook, and baked right up to going into the hospital.  Myrtle resided most of her life in Bridgeville.

She is survived by her son Glenn McComber Jr. of New Lothrop, daughter Janet "Jan" Rohn of Stanton, 4 grandchildren; Ricky (Debi) Rohn, Cindy (Mike) Bracey, William McComber, and Daniel (Jeni) McComber; 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.  Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law Sharon McComber and son-in-law Eldon Rohn, siblings; Milo (Maude) Suzor, Leo (Gladys) Suzor, George (Maise) Suzor, Decore "Dick" (Ruby) Suzor, Harley (Peggy) Suzor, Jennie Ellen (Bill) Seaman, Elsie (Elmer) Greenacre, Mildred (Claude) Spann, Edith (Leo) Spann, Gladys (Lester) Swan, and infant brother Eli.
