Nada J. Harvey, age 87, of Owosso, MI passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Church of Christ Owosso, MI on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 11:00 A.M; Rev. Mark St. Louis will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 9-11 AM prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Owosso, MI.
Nada was born in Dexter, Missouri on November 1, 1922, the daughter of Claude and Josie (Heskett) Westhafer. Nada resided most of her life in Owosso.
Nada married Allan Harvey on June 12, 1945 in Linden. He passed away on August 5, 1979.
Nada worked for Union Telephone as an operator and then it became General Telephone where she worked as an operator, pay station collector and storekeeper. She retired after 35 years. Nada was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, serving as past president. She was active in the Boy Scouts and 4-H with her son and husband. Nada was a long standing member of the First Church of Christ, Owosso where she taught for many years in the children's church. Nada enjoyed bowling and loved ceramics.
She is survived by her son Bernard and Marlena Harvey of Owosso, MI, granddaughters; Kayla Harvey of Owosso, MI, Amanda Harvey of Owosso, MI, Annalie Harvey of Owosso, MI, and brother Raymond and Margaret Westhafer of Reno, NV. Nada is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother William "Perry" Westhafer, niece Patricia Westhafer and nephew Paul Westhafer.
