Nancy Jo (Stackman) Cashen

      Nancy Jo (Stackman) Cashen, age 76, of St. Johns, MI, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Lansing, Michigan.

      Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 12:00 P.M.  Burial will take place at Wacousta Cemetery, Watertown Township, MI.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

    Nancy was born in Lansing, Michigan, on October 3, 1947, the daughter of Clifford “Kip” and Virginia (Dargan) Stackman.  Besides a brief career at Michigan State University, she was a homemaker.  Nancy loved spending time with friends and family, watching sports, and cooking.   Above all, she was a proud Christian woman, a member of First Baptist Church of St. Johns, and walked with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, having witnessed and led others to salvation.

    She is survived by her three children: Michelle (Elon) Robbins of Bannister, MI; Monica (Chris) Rollins of McKenzie, TN; and Matt (Jennie) Aylor of Twin Lakes, MI;  she leaves behind her ten grandchildren: Taylor, Madison, Emily Robbins, Ben Rollins and Maycie Rollins Bynum, and Zarren, Keenan, Jaeven, Sariah, and Trannon Aylor; and three great-grandchildren: Bennett Rollins, Everett Bynum, and Halston Aylor; twin sister Sharon (Richard) Erlenbeck of Freeland, MI; her younger sister Judy Easterbrook of DeWitt, MI and many loving and caring close friends.  She was preceded in death by her soulmate and partner Jessie Vallejo, and her parents.

    The family would like to thank the caregivers at Sparrow Health Systems, Burcham Hills, Hazel Findlay Country Manor, and Stoneleigh Residence & Hospice for the wonderful care Nancy received.
