Nancy Gail Faber age 74 of Ashley, MI, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at her home

Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2-6 P.M. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery Weidman, MI at a later date.

Nancy was born in Gratiot County, MI on September 8, 1942, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Peifer) Nass.  She graduated from Ashley High School with the class of 1961.  She resided in the Ashley area most of her life. Nancy was a cook at the Ashley Nursing Care Center retiring in 2012.  Nancy was a caregiver who enjoyed taking care of other people and her pets.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 daughters; Mary and Gerald Wallen of Bannister, MI, Julie Ann Beck of Ashley, MI, 3 sons; James and Ann Faber of St. Johns, MI, Scott Faber of Ashley, MI, and Warren Faber of Ashley, MI, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents, her children's father, James Leo Faber, and 3 sisters; Maryann Jarrett, Bonnie Sprague, and Jenny Sutten.
