Neal Fulkerson

Neal Fulkerson age 91 of Owosso, MI died Monday, August 18, 2008 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso, MI.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 1500 West Street, Owosso, MI. Rev. Duane M. Harris will officiate.

Neal was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 26, 1917 the son of Lester and Bessie (Howerton) Fulkerson. Neal married Laura Bieshaar on June 30, 1940 in Bailey, CO. She died on September 23, 2000.
Neal was an airplane mechanic. He loved woodworking, and making doll houses and furniture, but the thing that was most special to him was his model railroad, which took up the whole basement. He also loved going to breakfast with his friends of the Monday Morning Coffee Club at Newport Restaurant. Neal enjoyed going to Florida where he spent 6 months of the year. He loved animals and hunting. He also liked flowers and gardening, he could make anything grow. His family was very important to him. He resided most of his life in Alpena & Owosso, Michigan. Neal was a member of DAV, National Model RR Association. He was also FAA certified to fly planes.

He is survived by his son Dennis and Carol Fulkerson of Mt. Morris, MI, 3 daughters; Janis and William Lowe of Temple, MI, Karen Timm of Midland, MI, Alice Weiss of Owosso, MI, grandchildren; Mark Lowe, Damon and Liliana Timm, Melissa and Doug Husocki, Tonja Lowe, Marcy and Jeff Kramer, Tim and Candace Walker, Shelby and Mark Spencer, Scott and Tracy Weiss, Shawn and Carrie Weiss, Angie Fulkerson, Scott, Shawn, and Shane Visintainer, his little girlfriend Samantha Husocki and several great grandchildren.
