Ned R. Lake Jr. age 69 of Owosso, Michigan died on Friday, March 24, 2006 at Owosso Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso, Michigan. Funeral services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna chapel on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Pine Tree Cemetery, Corunna, Michigan, Rev. John Walworth will officiate and visitation will be Sunday 5-8 P.M. and Monday from 2-8 P.M. with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Ned was born on May 2, 1936 in Corunna, Michigan, the son of Ned R. & Francis ( Kennedy ) Lake Sr.
He married Lois M. ( Lytle ) Lake September 14, 1953 and worked for Spartan Ashphalt in Lansing, Michigan and he retired in 1997. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, Detroit Pistona�(TM)s basketball and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife, Lois M. Lake of Owosso, Michigan, 2 daughters, Kathi Carnahan of New Lothrop, Michigan, Laura & John Albring of Owosso, Michigan, 3 sons, Rod & Sandy Lake of Erwin, Tennessee, Rick & Sue Lake of Owosso, Michigan, Randy Lake of Owosso, Michigan, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, his mother, Francis Lake of Corunna, Michigan, 1 brother, Richard & Sylvia Lake of Owosso, Michigan, 3 sisters, Doris Brady of Corunna, Michigan, Connie & John Blanchett of Owosso, Michigan, Debbie & Leonard Wright of Corunna, Michigan, and his loving companion his dog Libby Lou. He was predeceased by his father.
