Ned Martin

Ned Wallace Martin, age 89, of Ithaca, MI passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at his daughter's home in Middleton, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel Ithaca, MI on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 1:00 PM, burial at Fritz Cemetery, Rev. Reid Martin will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2008 and Sunday, December 28, 2008 from 2-5 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca Chapel Ithaca, MI.

Ned was born in Ithaca, Michigan on March 14, 1919, the son of Hamilton and Nora (Lepley) Martin. He married Doris Sparks on March 14, 1941 in Ithaca, MI she passed away on October 14, 2004. Ned worked at Lobdell Emery of Alma for 19 years but farmed all his life on the family farm in Ithaca.

He is survived by 4 daughters; Sandra and Paul Felzke of Dewitt, MI., Sharon Martin of Ithaca, MI., Sally and Jim Weller of Middleton, MI., Sue and Ray Forman of Elk Lake, MI; 2 sons; Allan and Rose Martin of Owosso, MI., Danny and Beth Martin of St. Johns, MI, 9 grandchildren; Connie, Jane, John, Lynette, Brian, Jason, Jill, Tarah & Clay, 10 great-grandchildren also several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris, great-grandson Edward, 4 sisters & 4 brothers.
