Nelson E. Wilson age 67 of Elsie, MI died Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Edward Sparrow Hospital Lansing, MI.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 11:00 AM at St. Cyril's Catholic Church Bannister, MI. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2005 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Rosary will be prayed Friday, June 17, 2005 at 6:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
Nelson was born in Detroit, MI on August 24, 1937 the son of Otis & Rose ( Pontack ) Viles. He resided most of his life in the Ashley & Elsie areas. He graduated from Ashley High School with the class of 1955. Nelson married Margaret Ann Barrett on April 18, 1959 at St. Marya�(TM)s Catholic Church in Carson City, MI. Nelson served in the U.S. Army. He retired from GM Lansing, MI in 1993 after 32 years of service. He enjoyed farming, and his grandchildren where very important to him. He was a member of St. Cyrils Catholic Church, Bannister, MI.
He is survived by his wife Margaret Wilson of Elsie, MI, 4 daughters; Faye & Rafi Ayoubi of Clayton, NC, Carol Wilson of Elsie, MI, Peggy & Carl Luce of Owosso, MI, Wendy & Dale Young of Carson City, MI, 1 son Roy Wilson of Mason, MI, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 sisters; Rosalie & Fred Sanford of Alma, MI, Joanne & Tony Kusnier of Elsie, MI, Mildred & Jim Ribarchik of Swartz Creek, MI, 2 brothers; Paul & Judy Viles of Grand Ledge, MI, Otis & Lorraine Viles Jr. of Ashley, MI, also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, and 2 grandsons Bryan & Jamiel.
Memorials may be made to: American Cancer Society, or Sparrow Hopital, Jerome Street Guest House. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
