Neva Elizabeth Louth passed from this world into the presence of the Lord with family at her bedside on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. She was born in Clinton County on February 17, 1914, the daughter of Griffin and Martha (Sheldon) Burl. Neva married Christy Louth in 1931 and he preceded her in death in 1986. She worked for many years at Ovid Produce Company in Ovid while at the same time being a good homemaker and excellent cook. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Riley Township.
Surviving are son, Jack Louth of Arizona and daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Harold Smalldon of St. Johns; three grandchildren, Kathy (Chris) Fairchild, Kris (Bill) Rickman and Bill (Jill) Smalldon; ten great grandchildren, Aaron, Jacob, and Christy Fairchild, Alex, Ben, and Claire Rickman and Zachary, Brock, Andrew, and Samuel Smalldon. Also preceding Neva in death were five sisters, Hazel, Mable, June, Alene, Joyce and five brothers, Frank, Earl, Raymond, Maurice, and Edward.
Funeral services will be 3:30 P.M. Saturday, November 1, 2008 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, burial at St. Peter Cemetery with Pastor Jeffrey Heimsoth officiating. The family will receive friends 2-8 P.M. Friday at the Osgood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
