Noreen Smith

Noreen Smith age 102 of St. Louis, Michigan died Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at Schnepp Health Care Center St. Louis, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Louis Church of Christ St. Louis, MI on Friday, October 7, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Mr. Keith J. Wise will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Grant Cemetery Crawfordsville, IN. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2005 from 5-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.

Noreen was born in Monterey County, Indiana on October 5, 1902 the daughter of Elias Mack and Anna ( Wray ) Smith. She graduated from Evart High School and she then attended Osceola County Normal. She also received a life certificate from Michigan State Normal College and a B.S. Degree in Education from Central Michigan University. Noreen taught in public schools for 43 years. She was closely associated with Rock Lake Christian Assembley and Great Lakes Christian College for several years. She was a member of the St. Louis Church of Christ, and the Michigan Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by 3 nephews; Julian "Bud" & Nancy Smith of Hanover, MI, Lawrence Smith of Williamsburg, VA, John & Margaret Beery of Interlochen, MI, 1 niece Patricia & John Wright of Burnettsville, IN, and several great nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, 1 brother, 1 sister, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew.

Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Church of Christ. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
