Norma Loynes

Norma Norine Loynes, age 74, of Henderson, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, Michigan on Monday May 11, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Edwin Snook will officiate. Burial will take place at Fairfield Township Cemetery, Fairfield Township, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 from 6-8 P.M. and on Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 2-8 pm with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.

Norma was born in Ovid, Michigan on April 3, 1935, the daughter of Burton and Marion (Landis) Aldrich. Norma married Gerald H. Loynes on September 19, 1951 in Ovid, Michigan. Gerald predeceased her on January 24, 1998. They resided most of her life in Henderson, Michigan. Norma was a homemaker who enjoyed bowling, traveling & camping, and loved to watch golf on the weekends. Her grandchildren were very important to her.

She is survived by 3 sons; Rodney Loynes of Henderson, MI, Randy Loynes of Ovid, MI, Gary and Amy Loynes of Elsie, MI, 11 grandchildren; Sarah, Abby, Zach, Amanda, Cody, Ross, Rita, Tyler, Gavin, Tessa, and Chloe, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 brothers; Bill and Betty Aldrich of Ovid, MI, Arthur and Bertha Aldrich of St. Johns, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 1 son Barry, and 2 sisters; Wanda Fox & Mary Rando.
