Norma Rooks

Norma Mae Rooks, age 89, of St. Louis, MI passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., with Mr. Keith Wise officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Norma was born in St. Louis, Michigan on May 12, 1924, the daughter of Melvin J. and Goldie Viola (Toppings) Robinson. She was a graduate of St. Louis High School. Norma married Bob J. Rooks in 1970; he preceded her in death in 2004. Norma was a lifelong resident of St. Louis. She worked at Alma College and Golden Acres Nursing Home. Norma loved her family, and had many many friends that she enjoyed spending time with.

She is survived by her daughter Betty and Carl Otto of St. Louis, MI, son Rex Sparks of St. Louis, MI, daughter Carol Drexler of St. Louis, MI, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, brother Wayne and Pat Robinson of Pontiac, MI, and sister Shirley Brownridge of Breckenridge, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 spouses; Homer Sparks, and Bob Rooks, 2 sons; Jerry and Kenneth Sparks; and several brothers and sisters.
