Norma Spaulding

Norma Jane Spaulding, age 87 of Owosso, MI passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Clarebridge of Delta, in Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Thadd Sparrow will officiate. Burial will take place at South Lawn Cemetery in South Bend, IN. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 9-11 A.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel.

Norma was born in Caro, Michigan on November 20, 1920, the daughter of Floyd Morris and Minnie E. (Lloyd) Brown. She graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1940. Norma married Carlton "Sam" Spaulding on December 17, 1944 in Caro, Michigan. She has resided in Owosso since 1945. Norma enjoyed knitting and quilting. She also was active in the Abigail Chapter of the Eastern Stars. Norma was a lifetime member of the First Church of Christ.

She is survived by one son Gary and Connie Spaulding of Owosso, two grandchildren; Brent Spaulding of Pontiac, MI and Erik and Jamie Spaulding of Wisconsin, one sister Mary Kimble and one brother Charles Brown. Norma was predeceased by her parents, her husband Carlton and one sister Myrtle Pattison.
