Norman Earl Browning age 73 of Flushing, Michigan formerly of Corunna, MI died Monday, August 8, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center Flint, MI.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel. Deacon Paul Molesworth will officiate with burial at Pine Tree Cemetery Corunna, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 from 6-9 P.M.
Norman was born in Whitman, West Virginia on April 19, 1932 the son of Walter Scott and Teachie Lou ( White ) Browning. He resided most of his life in Corunna, Michigan. He attended Whitman Grade School, and Logan Junior High in West Virginia. Norman married Peggy Ann Stumbo on June 29, 1957 in Delbarton West Virginia. He worked as an assembler for GM at the Flint Truck Assembly Plant. He was also a Coal Miner. He was a member of the Corunna VFW Post 4005.
He is survived by his son Keith & Carol Browning of Vassar, MI, daughter Pam & Jerry Swarthout of Corunna, MI, son Randall & Christina Browning of Flushing, MI, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Walter & Robert Browning, and 5 sisters; Beulah Robins, Genevive Samson, Betty Roop, Phyllis Ford, & Linda Elkins. He was predeceased by his parents, wife, 4 brothers; Woodrow, French, Ralph and Alonzo, 3 sisters; Arbutus Wright, Emily Hunt, and Novella Rundle.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
