Norman Dale Kirkman age 77 of Corunna, Michigan died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Salem Lutheran Church Owosso, MI on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Luke Boehringer will officiate with burial at Pine Tree Cemetery Corunna, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel and on Wednesday from 12-1 at the church.

Norman was born in Owosso, Michigan on November 20, 1929 the son of Clarence and Alma ( Kremer ) Kirkman. He resided most of his life in the Corunna area and graduated from Owosso High School with the class of 1948. Norman married Roberta Field on October 23, 1948 at Salem Lutheran Church, Owosso, MI. He farmed his property all of his life on Lylte Road where his family moved to in 1936. He enjoyed bowling, hunting, and fishing, and he enjoyed tending to his flowers and garden. Norman was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Owosso, MI as well as the FFA, and an usher and deacon at Salem Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Roberta Kirkman of Corunna, MI, children; Norma Jean & Charles Medenwaldt of Hillsboro, TX, Cathy Kirkman of San Diego, CA, Gary & Becky Kirkman of Corunna, MI, grandchildren; Kelly Holdcroft of Flower Mound, TX, Kerry & Jerry Gibson of Flower Mound, TX, Benjamin & Maggie Kirkman of Glenwood Springs, CO, Christina Kirkman of Corunna, MI, Kassondra Kirkman of Corunna, MI, Brittani Kirkman of Corunna, MI, and great grandchildren Avery Holdcroft, Lily Gibson, and Jade Gibson. He is predeceased by his parents, and 1 sister.

Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church Radio Fund or the American Cancer Society. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
