Norris "Norrie" Clarence Bay, age 80, of St. Louis, MI passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at his home of 51 years.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. Donald Killey officiating. Visiting with the family will be held on Saturday at Noon until the time of service.

Norris was born in Sheridan Township, Michigan on April 25, 1935, the son of Clarence and Elizabeth (Allen) Bay. Norris married Sharron Egbert in 1958 in St. Louis. They resided their entire married life in St. Louis.

Norris was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed woodworking and crafts. He also loved to hunt and fish. Norris graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Central Michigan University in Industrial Arts. He was a teacher with St. Louis High School for 37 years, where he also coached all major sports. After retirement he was greatly involved in the St. Louis Area Historical Society and family genealogy. He was also active with the Pine River Clean Up Taskforce. Norris was awarded the Spirit of St. Louis Award by the Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce in 2010.

Norris is survived by his wife Sharron Bay of St. Louis, MI, daughter JoDell and Thomas Felton of Chesterfield, MI, son Jon and Barbara Bay of Saline, MI, grandchildren; Nicole and James Rangitsch of Grand Haven, MI, Michael Felton of Kalamazoo, MI, Samantha Bay of Saline, MI, Stephanie Bay of Saline, MI, 2 great-grandchildren; Dylan and Aubrey Rangitsch, sister Betty Haynes of Grays Lake, IL, brother Donald Bay of Clare, MI, and sister Sharon Renney of Grant, MI. Norris was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers; Loren and Lawrence Bay.
