Opal Beach

Opal Irene Beach, age 84, of Ovid, Michigan passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Monday, February 27 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Edwin Snook officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. and for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Opal was born in Oakley, Michigan on May 27, 1927, the daughter of Charles and Hattie Fuller. Opal married Frederick Beach Sr. in 1946 in Chapin, MI. He preceded her in death in 1963. Opal resided most of her life in the Ovid area. She retired from Chrysler Corp. and ASC in Lansing. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 sons; Frederick and Kathy Beach of Ovid, MI, son Kenneth Beach of Louisiana, daughter Debra Searles of Ovid, MI, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 2 daughters; Judy Ann & Patricia Ann, 2 brothers; Kenneth and Clarence and a sister Hazel.
