Orval Hutchinson

Orval Blaine Hutchinson age 81, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Masonic Pathways, Alma, MI.

A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Orval was born in Holt, MI on November 28, 1936, the son of Orville Blaine and Thelma Gail (Pratt) Hutchinson.  Orval graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1955.  Orval served his country in U.S. Navy.  On September 25, 1993, Orval married Janet Denton in St. Louis; Janet passed away on January 15, 2016.

Orval owned and operated Hutchinson's Appliances in St. Louis for many years, before retiring in 1991.  Orval was a man of many interests; from restoring VW cars to small airplanes.  He resided most of his life in St. Louis.

Orval is survived by his 2 daughters: Tamela (Ted) Poli, and Tressia Hutchinson; son Richard (Lisa) Bean, 4 grandchildren: Larissa (William) Forbes, Rachel Schwerin, Charles Schwerin, and Amy Schwerin; and sister Darlene (Francis) Fedewa.  Orval was preceded in death by his parents, wife and son Orval Hutchinson III in 1983.
