Orville Lynn Conley age 99 of St. Louis, Michigan died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Schnepp Healthcare Center, St. Louis, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel St. Louis, MI on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Lillian French will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery Alma, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Orville was born in Isabella County, Michigan on February 1, 1908 the son of Adelbert and Bertha ( Small ) Conley. He was a life long resident of the St. Louis and Alma area and graduated from St. Louis High School. Orville married Agnes M. Keschman in Alma, Michigan in May of 1936. She died on September 26, 2005. Orville was a life long farmer. Orville and Agnes sponsored a softball team when they owned and operated St. Louis Recreation. They also traveled to their home in Bradenton, Florida for 23 winters. Orville loved to play cards, ride his bike, and travel to other parts of the U.S. He was a wonderful husband, and father, and also a beloved grandfather and great grandfather. Orville was a member of the St. Louis United Methodist Church.
He is survived by 2 daughters Janet & Duane Oxendale of St. Louis, MI, Phyllis Hull of St. Louis, MI, 4 grandchildren; Trenton Oxendale of St. Louis, MI, Kelly & Michael Glover of St. Louis, MI, Rochelle Hull of Shepherd, MI, Martha Hull of Shepherd, MI, 7 great grandchildren; Anne, Jennifer, & Trent Oxendale, Samantha Herron, Nicole Hull, Janelle & Cameron Glover. He is predeceased by his parents, wife, 1 granddaughter Agnes Marie Hull and 4 sisters; Beatrice Wenzel, Beulah McNicol, Wilma Slates, and Margie Conley.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
