Patricia Barrett

Patricia Marie "Patty" Barrett, age 54 of Ovid, MI, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI, on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating.  Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ovid, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 11-2 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Patricia was born in St. Johns, MI on February 23, 1965 the daughter of Bill and Bonnie (Casteel) LaClair.  Patty resided most of her life in Ovid.

Patty liked to play pool, ride motorcycles and go mud bogging.  She will be remembered for her love of having fun and laughing and her beautiful smile.  Patty also enjoyed camping and tubing.  One of her favorite pastimes was watching her granddaughter play sports.  She loved to spend time with her family and friends, which was very important to her.  She was the rock that held her family and friends together.  Patty's dog, Muffin was very special to her.  She had a kind heart and was always willing to help others.

She is survived by her daughter Tanna Visger and Eric Wicke of Ovid, MI; granddaughter Kylie Visger of Owosso, MI; grand baby on the way; 4 brothers: Louis "Scott" Rodriguez of Lansing, MI; Tony and Michelle Rodriguez of Ovid, MI; Mike "Mook" Rodriguez of Bannister, MI; Charlie LaClair of Elsie, MI; 13 Samis siblings; father Bill LaClair of Elsie, MI; step-children: Jen, Jason and Allen Sleight of St. Johns, MI; nieces and nephews: Cruz and Ciera Rodriguez, Chance, Dylan, Leah and Chastin LaClair, Brenon and Austin Rodriguez, Franklin and Haley Worden, Chelsea Hoffer, and Kaylee Fischer.  Patty is also survived by many special friends.  Patty was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, son T.J. Visger, and brother Frank Worden.
