Patsy Chapman

Patsy M. Chapman, 69, died January 9, 2009. Patsy was born May 4, 1939 in Ashley, Michigan, the daughter of Ernest Sr. and Esther (Parcher) Griffin. She married Oliver "Flitter" Chapman, May 5, 1960 in St. Johns, Michigan and he survives her.

Also surviving are her sons, Michael, James and Anthony; her sisters, Lillie Chapman, Laura Kay (Wes) Carter and Goldie (Ted) Brey. Also surviving Patsy is her brother, Jerald Griffin, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousin, Gardner and good friend Steve McCurry. Patsy was preceded in death by her sisters, Viola Camp, Pauline Garrett and Ruth Rose; brothers, Junior, Dave, Clyde and Roy and two sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be at 1 pm Wednesday, January 14 at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, 232 E. Oak St. Ovid, Michigan, with burial following the service at the Middlebury Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 11 am to 1 pm prior to the funeral service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
