Paul W. Darling age 88 of Owosso, Michigan died Thursday, November 11, 2004 at Memorial Healthcare Center, Owosso, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 15, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. Minister Craig Darling will officiate with burial at Fairfield Township Cemetery, Fairfield Township, Michigan. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 13 & Sunday November 14 from 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
Paul was born in Shiawassee County on July 18, 1916 the son of Ray & Blanche ( Walter ) Darling. He resided most of his life in Owosso, Michigan. Paul married Laura Marie Crane on January 28, 1934 at Peoples Church in East Lansing. She passed away March 14, 2000. Paul served as president on the board at Production Credit Association of Lansing. He was also a seed salesman, and a lifelong farmer. He also served as a Fairfield Township Constable.
He is survived by his 5 children; Gary & Evelyn Darling of Owosso, MI, Lary & Sharon Darling of Owosso, MI, Bary & Lorelei Darling of Lansing, MI, Karen & Art Kelley of Ovid, MI, Leigh "Pete" & Carol Darling of Ovid, MI, 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law; Hilda Darling of Florida & Ilene Schwartz of Elsie, MI. He is predeceased by his parents, wife, 2 brothers, & 1 sister-in-law.
Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Shiawassee County Hospice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
