Paul Eugene Heller, 83, died October 2, 2008. He was born to William and Myrtie (Frisbie) Heller on June 13, 1925 in Kunkle, Ohio. He was the youngest of 8 children and grew up on the family farm. He graduated from Kunkle High School in 1943. Paul enlisted in the United States Army in October 1943. He served in the 3rd Division as a rifleman in the European Campaign of WWII. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and was honorably discharged in 1946. Paul married Rosemary Patterson in 1951 and had one son, Mark. Paul made his career with Federal Mogul Corp. which spanned over 30 years.
He married Anna Witt in July 1957. They had one daughter, LuAnn and one son Scott. An avid hunter and fisherman, Paul also enjoyed golfing, bowling, and horse racing. He was a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion, and U.A.W. Local 925. He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers, Roy and Gerald, sisters, Grace, Ruth, and Dorothy, and first wife Rosemary Patterson.
Paul is survived by wife, Anna of St. Johns, sons, Mark of Montana, and Scott (Lori) of St. Johns, daughter, LuAnn of Arizona, grandson, Cameron, and brothers, Forrest and Harold of Ohio. He leaves behind fellow classmates of Kunkle High School, long-time friends, Dick Miller and Marty Markman, nephew, Gordon Warren, Dershey's CafAC. gang, and many others.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Osgood Funeral Home, St. Johns. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Saturday. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to http://www.mtcan.org (a non-profit companion animal organization) or the Clinton County Veteran's Memorial.
