Paul Frederick Polash age 57 of Ashley, Michigan died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church Bannister, MI on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt will officiate with burial at Ford Cemetery Gratiot County, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2006 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Rosary will be prayed Friday evening at 6:00 P.M.

Paul was born in Saginaw, Michigan on February 15, 1949 the son of Louis and Erma( Gasper ) Polash. He resided most of his life in the Ashley area and graduated from Ashley High School with the class of 1967. Paul married Dorothy Scott on May 13, 1983 in St. Johns, Michigan. He retired from G.M. in 2002 after 35 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Paul was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, MI.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Polash of Ashley, MI, 1 daughter Amber Polash of Ashley, MI, 2 sons John Polash of Ashley, MI, Brian Polash of Ashley, MI, mother Erma Polash of Ashley, MI, 8 sisters; Pat & Bob Federspiel of Chesaning, MI, Pam & Paul Miscak of Ithaca, MI, Cathryn & David Perkett of Lapeer, MI, Cecilia Polash of Ashley, MI, Frances & Kenny Albaugh of Hemlock, MI, Mildred & Tom Siegrist of Hemlock, MI, Stephanie & Ron Burgess of Ithaca, MI, Julie & Hank Matulewicz of Chapin, MI, 5 brothers; David & Mareen Polash of Ashley, MI, Thomas Polash of Ashley, MI, Michael & Debbie Polash of Ashley, MI, Louis & Clara Polash of Ashley, MI, Mark & Kim Polash of Hemlock, MI, many nieces & nephews, and 1 goddaughter Marna. He is predeceased by his father and 2 brothers Jimmy and Jerry.

Memorials may be made to Sparrow Healthcare Foundation. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
