Pauline Meriam

Pauline Meriam, age 95, of Elsie, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services.

Pauline was born in Elsie, MI on April 24, 1914, the daughter of Fred and Nieta (Turner) Wight. She lived her entire life in Elsie. Pauline married L.W. "Bud" Meriam on July 22, 1934 in Ovid and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2005. She was the owner/operator of Mar-Mer Beauty Shop in Elsie. She loved playing golf and poker with her friends in the "Therapy Group". She had three holes-in-one in her life, two after the age of 80. She and Bud also enjoyed their trips to the casino.

Pauline is survived by her son Chris Meriam of Seattle, WA, daughter Carole Meriam of Vashon, WA, granddaughter and loving caregiver Christy Meriam Elliott of Elsie, MI and her great-grandson Michael Elliott of Saginaw, MI. In addition to Bud, she was preceded in death by her brother, Alton Wight.
