Pearl Cooper

Pearl Cooper, age 96, of St. Louis died Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Masonic Pathways in Alma, MI at the age of 96.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.

Pearl was born in Montcalm County, Michigan on April 25, 1914, the daughter of Jay and Cora Jane (Bostoff) Bailey. She graduated from Crystal High School in 1933, and was married to Oliver Cooper on June 4, 1938 and lived on the family farm near Pleasant Valley most of her life. Oliver passed away January 26, 1976. She was a loving mother of five and grandmother of 15. Throughout her lifetime of homemaker she spent many hours sewing and baking, both of which she enjoyed and excelled in.

Pearl is survived by her son Robert and Angela Cooper of St. Louis, MI, daughter Pat and Neil Stacey of St. Louis, MI, son in law Richard and Mary Mizer of Midland, grandchildren; Pam and Randy Schaefer of Midland, MI, Craig and Sherry Mizer of Auburn, MI, Sue and Jeff Storey of Midland, MI, Jane and Mark Waldmann of Midland, MI, Kurt Mizer of Shepherd, MI, Kelly Stacey of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Kerry and Gary Hauck of Beal City, MI, Ty Stacey of St. Louis, MI, Jodi and Darren Fairchild of Sanford, MI, Amy and Keith Bearden of Europe, Jeff and Heather Cooper of Portland, MI, Matt and Patti Cooper of Grand Rapids, MI, Dusty and Angie Cooper of Grand Rapids, MI, Mandi and Patrick Cook of Dewitt, MI, Heidi and Gary Cook of Dewitt, MI, 30 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oliver, a daughter Ardis Mizer, two sons; Richard and Gary, daughter in law Luann, and two sisters; Agnes Draper and Grace Elliott.
