Pearl Lillian White age 95 of Durand formerly of Lennon, Michigan died on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, Michigan.
Funeral services will held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, Michigan on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, from 2 to 8 p.m. with the family present 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Rev. John Downing will officiate and burial will take place at Yerian Cemetery, Venice Township, Michigan.
Pearl was born in Hastings, Michigan on May 16, 1913 the daughter of John Ray and Emily (Tester) Watkins, she resided in Lennon for 72 years. She graduated from Durand High School. On July 24, 1933 she married R. Stewart White, he predecesed her on April 26, 1999. Pearl was a homemaker and a farmer's wife for over 74 years. Pearl was a cake decorator and very talented in making specialty cakes. She also made ceramics as family gifts. Pearl was a kind and loving woman, and loved by everyone. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Owosso.
Survivors include her son Frank & Marcelyn White of Lennon, MI, daughter Phyllis & Jay Marble of Mio, MI, son Jerry & Mary White of Texas, son Raymond & Pam White of Swartz Creek, MI, grandchildren; Lori & Mike Baker, Mike & Brenda Marble, Cindy Marble, Ryan Stanick, Jim & Shawna White, Karen White, Justin White, Shelly White, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was predecesed by her parents, husband, grandson Nicolas White, and three brothers.
Memorials may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ Scholarship Fund. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, Michigan
