Penny Lynn (Bashore) Kelley

      Penny Lynn Kelley, age 69, of Elsie, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, Michigan.

     In following Penny's wishes, a cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

     Penny was born in St. Johns, Michigan on February 6, 1954, the daughter of Galen and Lorene (Whittaker) Bashore. She graduated from Ovid-Elsie High School with the Class of 1972.  On June 23, 1973, Penny married Dale Leon Kelley at the Elsie Baptist Church. They have been married for fifty years.  

     Penny loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She liked feeding the hummingbirds at their resort on Tubb's Lake. Penny worked for Sparrow Clinton Hospital for twenty-six years, retiring in 2018.

     She is survived by her husband Dale; son Brett (Amy) Kelley of Laingsburg, MI; son Kirk Kelley of Ovid, MI; four grandchildren: Braydon Kelley, Carter Kelley, Bentlie Kelley, and Trevor (Chloe) Trussell; two great-grandchildren: Isabella Trussell and Beau Trussell; three sisters: Deb Reed, Pam (Robert) Davis, and Gayla Clock; and many nieces and nephews.
