Peter Zedemont Sr. age 76 of Henderson, Michigan died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, Michigan.

Graveside Services will be held at Wildwood Cemetery Chesaning, Michigan on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Minister Fred Girdwoods will officiate.

Peter was born in Pontiac, Michigan on November 7, 1931 the son of Steve and Theresa ( Fantanar ) Zedemont. He resided most of his life in Chesaning, Owosso & Henderson, Michigan and attended Chesaning Public Schools. Peter married Gail B. Sperling in Owosso, Michigan on December 5, 1959. Peter served his country in the US Army in 1952. He retired from Maurell Products. He loved the outdoors and spending time with family & friends. His grandchildren were special to him. He was a pilot who enjoyed recreational flying, and was known for his gardening abilities. He drove bus for Indian Trails, and was a fireman on the Ann Arbor Railroad. Peter also drove truck over the road & worked construction, he enjoyed building and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife Gail B Zedemont of Henderson, MI, 2 daughters; Brenda & Jim Crambell of Henderson, MI, Tina Taylor of Owosso, MI, 1 son Peter & Karen Zedemont II of Henderson, MI, grandchidren; Jessica Crambell, Kayla Crambell, Jonathan Crambell, Matthew Zedemont, Steven Zedemont, and great grandson Ashtyn Cotie. He is predeceased by his parents, 1 sister & 1 brother.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the Heart Foundation. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI.
