Phillip Lee Graham, age 62, of Vestaburg, MI passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Seville Community Church of God on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 2-8 P.M. with family present 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI. Pastor George Showers will officiate. Burial will take place at Richland Township Cemetery in Vestaburg, Michigan.
Phil was born in Alma, Michigan on January 16, 1951, the son of Kenneth Francis and Alice Mae (Borton) Graham. He was a lifelong resident of Vestaburg, and graduated from Vestaburg High School with the class of 1971. Phil married Louise Kay LeFever on July 10, 1976 in Edmore, MI. He started his career working for Hitachi Magnetics Corp. in Edmore in 1972, until his retirement in 2006 when the factory closed. He then continued to work for 7 years at Weller Auto and Truck Parts in Grandville, MI until March 2012. Phil loved bass fishing, deer hunting, and time spent with his family. His pride and joy was his 1967 Camaro RS/SS that he proudly restored himself. He was also a skilled mechanic, and a man of many trades that could fix anything. He will always be remembered for being a hard worker, having a great sense of humor, kindness and unconditional love he had for his family. Phil was a member of the Seville Community Church of God, where he also served on the church council and as an elder of the church.
He is survived by his wife Louise Graham of Vestaburg, MI, daughter Sarah and Josh Bartlett of St. Louis, MI, daughter Holly Graham of Vestaburg, MI, granddaughter Olivia Bartlett, grandson Merick Bartlett, parents in law Duane and Betty Shepardson of Edmore, MI, sister Judy Parrish of Harrison, MI, 4 brothers; Allen and Janet Graham of Tecumseh, MI, Dennis and Peggy Graham of McBride, MI, Jack and Sandy Graham of Alaska, Lanny and Teresa Graham of Edmore, MI, 2 brothers in law; Larry and Kathy LeFever of Six Lakes, MI, Dan and Deb LeFever of Stanton, MI, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Ken & Alice Graham, father in law Bud LeFever, and brother Gary Graham.
