Phyllis Saxton

Phyllis C. Saxton, age 83, of Alma, MI passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Schnepp Health Care Center, St. Louis, MI.

It was Phyllis' wish to be cremated. There will be a celebration of her life held with family and close friends.

Phyllis was born in Breckenridge, Michigan on December 17, 1929, the daughter of John D. and Hazel Marie (Dosson) McCallum. She was a graduate of Breckenridge High School and resided most of her life in Alma. Phyllis worked as a CNA for 17 years before retiring in 1986. She loved to crochet, do puzzles and watch her Detroit Tigers play.

She is survived by her daughter Connie Saxton, son Robert and Jennifer Saxton. Jr., daughter Cathy Saxton, son Scott Saxton, daughter Cheryl and Jerry Leonard, daughter Linda Meister, daughter Tammy Furlong, 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Cindy Saxton, a grandson, and brothers & sisters Alma Korthase, J.D. McCallum, Ambra (Nan) Behling, William McCallum, Katherine (Boots) Schall and Thomas McCallum.
