Phyllis Shaull

Phyllis Mae Shaull age 87, of Alma, MI, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at MidMichigan Medical Center - Gratiot, Alma, Michigan.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI, on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor John Robinson officiating.  Burial will take place at Bailey Cemetery, Alma, Michigan.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

Phyllis was born September 15, 1928 in Alma, Michigan the daughter of Melvin and Ruth (Kiter) Gearig.  Phyllis married Raymond Shaull on June 9, 1946.  Raymond passed away on October 13, 1989. She resided most of her life in Alma, MI.

Phyllis loved flowers and her pets.  Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her great joy.  She enjoyed spending time on Lake Michigan and loved watching her birds from her kitchen table.  Phyllis spent some years as a Teacher's Aide at Bailey School.  She spent many years caring for her mother after her father passed away.

She is survived by her daughter Sue and Bill Mills, of Alma, MI, son Rick and Barbara Shaull of St. Louis, MI, daughter Marilyn and Gary Bupp of Alma, MI, son Jim and Janice Shaull of St. Louis, MI, daughter Sandy and Rick Kirby of St. Louis, MI, 9 grandchildren; Chris Mills, Brian Mills, Trevor and Elizabeth Mills, Bo and Alayna Shaull, Nicole and Dean Lauer, Matt and Brandie Bupp, Lindsay Bupp, Jennifer Shaull, and Tony and Cindy Kirby, 15 great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren, and brother Deane and Barb Gearig of Utah.  Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband and granddaughter Kaleigh Bupp.
