Prentice Cole

Prentice W. Cole age 86, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Arbor Grove Assisted Living, Alma.

Private Services were held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI on Saturday, April 22, 2017 with Pastor Steve Gulick officiating.  Burial was in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI.

Prentice was born in St. Louis, MI on December 21, 1930, the son of George and Anna (Vojtas) Cole.  He served his country in the U.S. Army. Prentice married Wilma Fisher on November 19, 1953 in Indiana and resided all of his life in St. Louis.

Prentice retired from Alma Products after 40 years, he also was involved in the family farm business.  He loved to play softball and coaching Little League baseball. Prentice will always be remembered as a family man.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Wilma Cole of St. Louis, MI, daughter Teresa Cole of Mio, MI, son Prentice and Catherine Cole of DeWitt, MI, 2 grandchildren; Megan and Meredith Cole, sister Evelyn and Vance Humm of St. Louis, MI, sister Eleanor Cole of Alma, MI, and nephew Gary Cole of St. Louis, MI.  Prentice was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert E. Cole and sister Barbara Pullman.
