Priscilla May "Pat" Snyder, age 69, of Elsie, MI died Saturday, May 2, 2009 at her daughter's home in Chapin, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Herb Wheelock will officiate. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 5-8 PM., Monday, May 4, 2009 from 11AM-8 PM., and on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 from 11AM until the time of service at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.
Priscilla was born in Port Huron, Michigan on March 5, 1940, the daughter of Frederick Henry and Rhea (McClemmons) Gosman. She graduated from Marysville High School with the Class of 1958. Pat married Forrest "Frosty" Snyder on September 23, 1961 in Chapin, Michigan, and preceded her in death on January 20, 2003.
Pat resided most of her life in the Chapin area. She was a farm wife and homemaker who loved crafts, bird watching, rock and flower gardening, quilting, fishing, and polka music and dancing. She was a very active member of the Chapin United Methodist Church, and involved in the UMW for over 40 years.
She is survived by 2 daughters Laurie and Albert Canze of Elsie, MI; Kimberly Snyder and friend Cliff Luchenbill of Elsie, MI; a son Dale Frederick Snyder of Elsie, MI; grandson Joshua Forrest Snyder of Elsie, MI; godson Jesse Lover of Elsie, MI; 2 brothers Charles and Sue Gosman of Griffin, GA; Fred Gosman and friend Theresa Raybon of Experiment, GA; half brother Tom and Sherry Morgan of Kalamazoo, MI; sister-in-law Joan and Sonny Miller of Merrill, MI; and close family members Clifton and Joan Burkhardt of Port Huron, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandparents Charles & Bertha Gosman, parents-in-law Edward & Elizabeth Snyder, sister Carolyn, nephew Steven, 2 nieces Peggy and Tracy, and numerous extended family members.
