Ralph W. Fenton age 99 of St. Louis, Michigan died Sunday, May 15, 2005 at Gratiot Community Hospital, Alma, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Stephen Shook will officiate with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Ralph was born on August 19, 1905 in Midland County, Michigan the son of William & Eva ( West ) Fenton. He was a lifelong resident of St. Louis, Michigan. Ralph married Viola Sawvel in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on October 6, 1928. He retired from Michigan Chemical Plant in 1970. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and mowing the grass.
Survivors include his wife of 76 years Viola Fenton of St. Louis, MI, 3 daughters; Dolores Ennes of Indian River, MI, Norma Odem of Alma, MI, Virginia & Floyd Davis of Shepherd, MI, 13 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers; Elmer, Arthur, & Lacester, and great granddaughter, Deborah Sue Kretzschmar.
Memorials can be made to the family. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
