Ralph Onstott

Ralph E. Onstott died July 27, 2010 at the age of 96. Born September 12, 1913 in Elsie, Michigan, the son of George and Jenny (Borden) Onstott. He retired from General Motors as an Inspector in 1970 after 37 A½ years of service. Ralph married Anna H. Sipka October 16, 1936 and she preceded him in death January 31, 1992 after 55 years of marriage.

He is survived by one son, Robert (Kathy) Onstott, Sr. of Greenville, four grandchildren, Capt. Julie Shepherd of San Antonio, Jamie (Karl) Brand of Greenville, Robert Onstott, Jr. of Orleans, Michigan, Tammy (Jack) Coffey of Lansing, four great grandchildren, Chuck Maybee, Keith Shepherd, Leandra and Lindsay Coffey, one great great grand daughter, Grace Maybee, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by two sons, Lyle and Edward Onstott, one grandson, Michael Brooks, one brother, Leo Onstott and two sisters, Marjorie Mowatt and Dorothy Lidle.

The family will receive friends 12-2 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2010, at the Osgood Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m., at Mt. Rest Cemetery with Rev. David Hudgens officiating.
