Randal Duane "Randy" Routheaux, age 57, of St. Louis, MI, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Friday, January 3, 2020.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes - St. Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Visitation will be held 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Monday, January 6, 2020 at the funeral home.
Randy was born in Alma, Michigan on March 30, 1962, the son Kenneth O. and Fern L. (Miller) Routheaux. He graduated from St. Louis High School. Randy was Valerie's love of 36 years. On November 5, 1988, Randy married Valerie Lynn Cast at the Ithaca Wesleyan Church in Ithaca, MI.
Randy enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He worked hard to provide for his family and rarely missed a day of work; Randy liked being in the garage with "his boys" tinkering and listening to music. He loved taking the kids to concerts, tubing, canoeing and bike riding - anything with his family. Randy had many friends, but most of all he loved his girls.
Randy worked over 30 years in the cable industry and the last 10 years as a welder for Avalon/Tahoe.
Randy is survived by his wife Valerie Routheaux of St. Louis, MI; and 4 daughters: Christie (Brian Posey) Routheaux of Elwell, MI; Katherine Routheaux of Alma, MI; Lorraine (Mark) Farkas of St. Louis, MI; and Tonya (Lucas Beard) Routheaux of Breckenridge, MI. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Victoria, Trenton, Brandon, Chase, and Aspen; one sister Sandy Salagado and brother-in-law Glen (Ann) Cast. Randy was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Fern Routheaux, his brother Tim Routheaux, and brother-in-law Daniel Cast.
Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family. Online condolences can be sent at www.smithfamilyfuneralhomes.com. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, Michigan.
