Randall Scherzer

Randall M. Scherzer, age 65, of Bannister, MI died Monday, February 2, 2009 at Pine River Healthcare Center, St. Louis, Michigan.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel, on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Edwin Snook will officiate.

Randall was born in Bay County, Michigan on April 18, 1943, the son of Marvin and Beulah (Horton) Scherzer. He resided most of his life in the Elsie & Owosso area. Randall married Lynn Swan on December 19, 1965 in Oakley, Michigan; Lynn predeceased him on December 19, 2007. Randall was a farmer and had formerly worked at Green Meadow Farms, Elsie.

He is survived by his children; Scott and Pam Scherzer of Blanchard, Michigan, Kimberly Seta of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Tina and Richard Swarthout of Ashley, Michigan. Kathy Hogsett of Little Elm, Texas, 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; LaVern Scherzer of Bay City, Michigan, Richard Scherzer of Canadian Lakes, Michigan and aunt Nellie Scherzer. He was predeceased by his parents, wife, and 1 brother.
