Randall Edward “Randy” Perrigo, age 85, of St. Louis, Michigan passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, Michigan on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor John Eich officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Monday December 14, 2015 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Randall was born in Alma, Michigan on February 13, 1930, the son of Roy John and Mildred Marie (Wilkins) Perrigo. He was a lifelong resident of St. Louis and a graduate of St. Louis High School. Randall married Evelyn Marie Mathers on March 25, 1950 at the Ithaca United Methodist Church in Ithaca, MI, by Rev. Warmouth. Evelyn passed away on September 21, 2013.
Randall retired from Dow Chemical in 1986. Prior to that, he worked in the Dow Fire Dept. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Pythias, and the Alma Elks Lodge. Randall enjoyed bowling, woodworking, hunting, raising Brittney Spaniels, and he loved working in his yard. He and Evelyn loved traveling to Florida for many winters. A favorite family memory is of Randall & Evelyn doing the Circle Waltz on roller skates at the St. Louis Roller Rink.
Randall is survived by 3 daughters; Colleen Gray of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Denise and Lanny Caverly of Spruce, Michigan, Julia and Robin DeLong of Riverdale, Michigan, 5 grandchildren; Bryan Perrigo and Jen Gee, Jarod and Mary Muscott, Marissa Whitford and Jeff Adis, Christine DeLong, and Shelby Gray; 3 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; Kirstin and Erin Muscott, and Brendan Whitford, sister Jane Mizer of Breckenridge, Michigan; 2 brothers; Richard Perrigo of Alma, Michigan, and Robert Perrigo of St. Louis, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, son Charles Mark Perrigo, son-in-law Robert Sharp, brother Frederick Perrigo, and an infant brother Charles Perrigo.
