Ray Sitts

Ray Martin Sitts age 79 of Wheeler, MI, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 with Pastor Jeff Reser officiating. Burial will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.

Ray was born in Wheeler Township, MI on October 3, 1938, the son of Carl  and Edna Lee (Schartiger) Sitts.  He was born in his family home in Wheeler Township where he resided all of his life.  Ray was a 1956 graduate of Breckenridge High School.  Ray married Kathryn Ann Ries on September 6, 1958 in Alma, MI.

Ray was a retired truck driver and mechanic.  He loved farming, was a tractor enthusiast and liked going to tractor pulls and pony pulls.  Ray enjoyed country music and was an avid Tigers fan.  He attended East Washington United Brethren Church, Ashley.

Ray is survived by his wife Kathy Sitts of Wheeler, MI; son Martin and Monica Sitts of Wheeler, MI; son Randy and Karen Sitts of Vestaburg, MI; daughter Debbie and James Andrew of Ithaca, MI; 2 grandchildren Samantha Sitts and Ashley Sitts; brother Harry and Fussy Sitts of Alma, MI; brother LeRoy Sitts of Wheeler, MI; sister Shirley Sitts of Breckenridge, MI.  Ray was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Joshua Ray Sitts, also his siblings Burnis, Cecil, and Alton Sitts, Fern Cochran, Eilene Lange, and Norma Northrup.
