Ray Field Wilson, age 71, of Harrison MI, formerly of St. Louis, Michigan died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Covenant Health Care, Saginaw, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis Chapel on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 4:00 PM, Pastor Kurt Eichinger will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 2-4 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Ray was born in Gladwin County, Michigan on May 17, 1938, the son of Chester Field and Jennie Sarah (Moore) Wilson. Ray attended Ithaca Schools. Ray married Delilah Ruth Cook on November 8, 1959 in Ashley, MI. He served in the U.S. Marines, and resided most of his life in the Gratiot County area, until moving to Harrison 12 years ago after retirement. He enjoyed camping, fishing, mushrooming, and wood crafts. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge #1566, serving as Governor and Past Governor. He retired from MLT Trucking in 2003.
He is survived by his wife Delilah Ruth Wilson of Harrison, MI, 4 children; Michelle Ann Nyhus and Jeff Dell of St. Louis, MI, Rodney Ray Wilson of North Carolina, Beverly Dee and Donald Gary TenEyck of Mt Pleasant, MI, Micheal Field and Tiffanie Ann Wilson of Houghton Lake, MI, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a brother Byron and Shirley Bard of St. Louis, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 siblings.
